Help Protect Inclusionary Zoning

Inclusionary Zoning is under attack from certain city council members. We want to make sure people were aware of the upcoming IZ events and have as much info as possible.  This blog entry contains the following information:

UPCOMING MEETINGS
a.  City Council brown bag lunch discussion - Monday, February 6th at noon in room LL-110 of the Municipal Building (215 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd).  This will be a good opportunity to learn more about inclusionary zoning and hear what alders are thinking about inclusionary zoning.

b.  Plan Commission meeting.  Monday, February 6th, public hearings start at 6:00 in room 201 of the City-County Building (210 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd)  We have heard very little testimony supporting inclusionary zoning.

c.    City Council brown bag lunch discussion - Tuesday, February 7th at noon in room LL-110 of the Municipal Building (215 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd).  This will be a good opportunity to learn more about inclusionary zoning and hear what alders are thinking about inclusionary zoning.

d.  Community meeting on inclusionary zoning.  Saturday, February 11th at 11:00 at Immanuel Lutheran Church (1021 Spaight St.)  This will be an opportunity to learn about inclusionary zoning, what's working, what's not working and provide an opportunity for people to ask questions.

ACTIONS NEEDED
1.  Write letters to the editor of the Cap Times, Wisconsin State Journal, Daily Cardinal, Badger Herald or Madison Times supporting inclusionary zoning.

2.  Call your alder and let them know you support inclusionary zoning .
