Progressive Dane's General Membership Meeting will be held Wednesday,
August 27, 2008, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the second floor of Madison's Downtown Public Library.
This month's chair is Sheila Guilfoyle.
In addition to the regular reports on city and county activity, staff report, and a report from the Treasurer that will include a vote on an amended budget, we will discuss the School Board Referendum and vote on whether to support it.
There will be general information on what to watch for in the city and county budget process this go around, as well as specific information on two separate city and county budget proposals in support for homelessness services and other recent developments in this priority area.
There will also be a vote on a candidate recommendation brought forward by the Education Committee.
Individuals who are not members of Progressive Dane are encouraged to
