Progressive Dane Fall Election Wrap Up

County Board Race District 10

Progressive Dane endorsed Brad Wolbert in District 10.

Brad ran a good race, but came up short with just under 46% of the vote. In addition, Brad impressed a lot of people with his thoughtful style and his firm commitment to protecting the environment (you know, working for clean water and clean air). Brad also backed up this commitment by a good understanding of how to actually do it. We’d like to thank Brad for running and hope we see him around in the future.

School Funding Referendum

Progressive Dane endorsed the school funding referendum because of the importance of education to our community.

This referendum passed overwhelmingly with approximately 68% - 32%. The public school system is a cornerstone of our community both economically and socially. Progressive Dane volunteers were happy to join a coalition of other organizations and community members who worked to help pass the referendum. Special thanks to PD Education Chair TJ Mertz and the PD-endorsed school board members (Johnny Winston Jr, Marj Passman, Arlene Silveira, and Beth Moss) for all their work helping this pass. Good job all!
