Tabling at a popular event can draw people over to see what Progressive Dane is all about. It also allows us to get information out through handouts, sign up new members, and recruit new volunteers. Each summer we table from May through November at several different events.
The more volunteers we have, the more events we can attend. If you have a favorite festival or event in Dane County you think Progressive Dane should be at, let the Office Administrator know by volunteering for a shift and supplying the name, date(s), and location of the festival.
Click here to contact the Progressive Dane Office Administrator to commit to a shift at any one of the following events, or recommend one. Watch the Upcoming Opportunities section of this page for dates of events.

During mailings, volunteers compile newsletter, invitations, or letters by folding newsletters, invitations, or letters and stuffing, labeling, and sealing envelopes. Mailings are a great opportunity to meet other PD volunteers and chat about what's happening in the city and county.
Compiling the newsletter is an on-going activity that occurs the 3rd Tuesday of every month in the Social Justice Center's main conference room at 1202 Williamson Street from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

This is one of Progressive Dane's top volunteer needs. We are looking for volunteers to work with our endorsed representatives to better push forward our agendas. The specific type of work will depend upon the needs of the representative, but some general tasks may include helping representatives keep in contact with their constituents, attending neighborhood and city meetings, and preparing for election periods.

The Newsletter Consortium is looking for a few good writers to contribute monthly to our newsletter. Responsibilities would involve being in contact with specific task forces and interviewing people for articles.
