Recommended City and County Meetings this Week

Find out which meetings Progressive Dane recommends this week at the City and County.  These are meetings our elected officials are working on and need support or issues identified by the party as being of concern.

CITY

Monday night the City County Liaison Committee will be discussing if they will kick homeless persons sleeping on the "porch" of the City-County Building out of that area, the last legal place for homeless people out of shelter days to sleep without getting tickets if they don't own a car.  5:45 ROOM 357 City County Building, 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Tuesday night find out more about the Judge Doyle Square proposal.  The city council will receive a special presentation prior to the council meeting.  5:00 1 JOHN NOLEN DR, ROOMS K-R (Monona Terrace)

Also Tuesday night is the city council meeting where they will be discussing the development on Portage Road, doing the annual approval of every liquor license in the city of Madison, as well as other licenses for cabs, pedicabs, adult entertainment, pawn shops, scrap yards and more.  And finally the will be discussing homelessness as a protected class.  6:30 ROOM 201 Cit-County Building 210 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.

Wednesday night there will be a presentation of the Business Plan for the Public Market  6:30 149 WAUBESA ST, EVJUE ROOM (Goodman Center)

Thursday the Ad Hoc Landmark Ordinance Review Committee meets, they are getting close to a final proposal.  5:00 ROOM LL-130 Madison Municipal Building, 215 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.  (Post Office Building)

COUNTY

Thursday the County Board meets.  The most interesting item is the appeal of the conditional use permit for the Enbridge pipeline.  7:00  ROOM 201 Cit-County Building 210 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
